Secondly, CBD can be consumed through capsules and gummies for those who dread placing it under the tongue for a few minutes. Unlike the drops under the tongue where the effects are felt almost immediately, patients using capsules and gummies will have to wait a little longer before they can start feeling the effect. This is because they take longer to enter the bloodstream as the breakdown process is longer.

Option three of consuming CBD is through taking them as edibles. You might have had a weed cookie or brownies. Well, you can also have cookies or brownies or salad dressings that are baked with CBD oil as one of the ingredients. It’s advisable to eat before taking an edible that has CBD as an ingredient for it to be effective to allow you to feel the effect. With edibles, there won’t be any immediate effects until after an hour or so.

Those suffering from arthritis or any other joint or muscle related pain, there is the option of topical creams that have CBD as an ingredient. These topical creams can be used to massage sore joints and muscles as well as in areas with pain. While the effects are felt immediately, they don’t last as long as when one ingests the oil.

Lastly, it can be smoked through vaporizers or e-liquid oils. Although it’s a fast-acting method that lets you feel the effects quickly, it’s preferred by people who’ve smoked before.
